Terms and Conditions

  • Accommodation will automatically be cancelled if the deposit is not received by the due date. Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation, or ‘non arrival’. No persons other than those quoted for, are permitted to share the accommodation.
  • Please note that guests paying by credit card are required to present a valid photo ID and the credit card upon check in. A valid driver’s license, passport or ID is accepted forms of identification. Bookings where the guest is not the credit card holder will not be accepted unless the guest produces a copy of the credit card and a valid copy of the card holder’s ID upon check in.
  • We follow an online Check-In Procedure. Link provided needs to be completed and copy of ID provided BEFORE arrival and before keys are handed over. Legally we are obliged to keep a register containing details of all persons who are provided with lodging or sleeping accommodation including a copy of his or her identification document or passport. We at Ocean Blue Guesthouse would like to ensure you that we are fully compliant of the POPI Act, as required by the South African law. We respect our guests’ rights to information privacy, and will continue to protect your personal information.
  • “RIGHT OF ADMISSION IS RESERVED."  Regrettably no visitors allowed. 
  • Insurance: To avoid any misunderstanding, a booking constitutes a binding contract. All guests confirming a booking are advised to take out insurance to cover the full cost of their accommodation in the event of a cancellation. A non-refundable 50% deposit is payable to confirm the booking. A 100% non-refundable deposit is payable for single night stays. We will seek compensation for any cancelled accommodation that cannot be re-let, including premature curtailment. Balance to be paid in full BEFORE ARRIVAL. Regrettably Cash payment on arrival is NOT accepted. 

Cancellation Policy 

  • Cancellation same day of Arrival – Forfeit 100% of full stay
  • 2 days or less from arrival, forfeits 75% of total stay. 
  • Cancellation 3 days or more from arrival, forfeit 75%  of the deposit, 
  • Refund of the 50% deposit will be considered if booking is cancelled within 7 days from day of making the booking. Please note that an Admin Fee will be payable.

Check-in time is from 14h00 until 18h00. Late check-ins to be arranged prior to arrival. Check-ins after 9 pm will incur a surcharge of R750.00. PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO CHECK INS AFTER 23H00.

Check Out Time is strictly 10h00.

Please note that this is a noise free zone. Excessive noise and drunk and disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated. 

This is a non-smoking unit. It will be greatly appreciated if you will refrain from smoking inside the unit. Thank you.

A R250.00 Cleaning Fee is charged per unit/stay - not refundable.

Cleaning:

  • The unit is serviced between 10h00 and 12h00 – No cleaning on Weekends/Public Holidays, unless requested on arrival. Linen and towels are replaced as needed. To be more environmentally friendly, we do not change sheets/towels daily. Daily clean towels can be requested @ R25/towel. Kindly arrange BEFORE arrival.
  • All rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before each new arrival.
  • Cleaning equipment and materials available in the Broom Cupboard for your own.  There is also a washing machine for your convenience.
